Looking to relocate to London in 2017?
At Dexters we believe that every London neighbourhood shows its individuality most revealingly at certain times of the year - Christmas being a prime opportunity to showcase community character.
Time Out's list of Christmas pop-ups is certainly a case in point. Number one on the list, the Gardening Society pop-up - set amidst a winter forest on the roof of John Lewis Oxford Street - cleverly captures the essence of British luxury and its hint of quirkiness. You'll certainly find luxury and character in the period townhouses for sale in Mayfair, Marylebone and Fitzrovia's neighbouring streets, where twinkling topiary frames imposing entrances and christmas trees fill high-ceilinged mansion flats - evoking the traditional festivities perfectly .
In contrast, the creation of an entire pop-up ski-village south of the river in Vauxhall, sounds as ambitious as this up and coming neighbourhood itself, where there's plenty of exciting new-build activity to compliment the family houses for sale in Kennington nearby.
Dexters have helped international buyers to identify their ideal London location for many years; contact our international relocations team for more information.
Climb to the top of the Christmas tree, or just take the lift to the fifth floor of John Lewis, and venture deep into the Gardening Society’s winter forest. This rooftop dining set-up has game experts Mac & Wild at the reigns, so expect lots of meaty burgers and venison (aka Rudolf’s cousin). Private lodges are available to book and have a ‘hot toddy bell’ to ring for drinks, as well as individual sound systems to crank up the Mariah. Don’t forget to head out to the heated terrace for panoramic views of Oxford Street’s baubles and the avalanche of Christmas shoppers.
